CYBER DESIGN: e-design services now available!  Now you can have a CELEBRITY STYLE NURSERY OR CHILD'S ROOM no matter where you live! Complete the detailed questionnaire and submit the required photos of the existing room- via email or fax. Sherri Blum, CID and celebrity designer will design a stunning and personalized room for you including a designer storyboard with a complete visual design package full of 20+ swatches, photos, list of products, prices, links to where the items can be purchased, and more. Your design may include such items as crib, bed, bedding, desk, chair, dressers, changers, armoires, shelving, closet organizers, curtains, blinds, wall color or mural suggestion, flooring, area rugs, lighting, chandelier, wall art, and other children's accessories. Several suggestions will be included for furnishings and accessories, giving you alternatives to select from that will still coordinate with the suggested room design. Sherri will provide detailed explanations for her choices and suggestions for changes to flooring, wall finishes, etc... as well as detailed instructions for completion of your celebrity style nursery or child's room. Sherri Blum, CID is known internationally for her unique, yet timeless design style. You will receive her expertise and suggestions of beautiful elements to complete your unique nursery or child's room that only she would envision. Your complete design package will allow you to effortlessly purchase the suggested products and pull your child's room together seamlessly. The package will arrive to you via email or fax within 14 days of receipt of payment.  $295

While your CYBER DESIGN package will provide all the details you need to complete the room, we realize you might have a few follow up questions. The first two emailed follow-up questions will be free of charge. If you wish to make more changes or feel the need to discuss further, follow up phone calls or emails beyond the initial two emails, will be billed at $100/hour.

In Home Consultation:  Sherri can be hired simply by the hour for local clients. (Call or email to see if you are within Sherri's service area.)  During a one or two hour consultation we can answer ALL of your specific design questions to help you to avoid costly decorating mistakes. We can select a bedding set from dozens of selections and swatches, coordinate paint colors or faux finishes, rearrange furniture and accessories, decide upon window treatment styles, and provide a list of additional recommended changes, furnishings and accessories. We can help you to decide upon a theme for your nursery or child's room and design a specific decorative paint plan that coordinates beautifully with your chosen bedding fabrics and theme. We will leave you with specific suggestions and a list of resources to help make your child's room more beautiful and functional.     Hourly fee: $100. Baltimore, Carroll Co. and northern Maryland: $150. (Other  locations involve more travel time and expense on my behalf. We will travel anywhere in the United States with paid expenses.)

Personal Shopping:  Some busy homeowners don't have the time or resources to shop for the perfect furniture or accessories for their homes, and many just don't enjoy it! Most retailers offer discounts and even wholesale pricing to interior designers.  I can often save you money by shopping with you. I can go shopping for you or with you.  Hourly fee:  $100.

Complete Visual Design Plan:  After an initial in home consultation, we can be hired to design a complete visual room plan including a 1/4" scale furniture floor plan, photos, swatches or samples, and shopping list for specific furnishings and finishes. The shopping list includes photos and prices for each item. I do the shopping and selections for you based on our discussions during the initial in home consultation, saving you many hours of searching for the perfect items.  This package includes many hours of my time shopping and putting the design plan together plus a return visit to your home or office (if out of area, travel expenses will incur) to present the plan to you.    Fee:  $300.

Faux Finishes / Decorative Painting/ Murals: (Ragging, Sponging, Dragging, Color Washing, Stippling, etc) During an initial in home consultation to determine the type of finish and colors desired, I will provide you with a cost for the faux finish or may refer you to another finish artist.  Pricing will depend upon the size of the room and finish desired.   We charge by the square footage rather than by the hour so that I can take whatever time necessary to ensure a beautiful finish that my client will love.

Stenciling, Stamping and Murals are also available, however pricing will vary greatly depending upon your individual plans. Your site and design would have to be evaluated during a one hour consultation before determining a price. 

  Gift certificates are available.  A one-hour consultation makes a perfect gift for a baby shower, baptism, housewarming, mother's day or birthday. Gift certificates can also be applied toward the purchase of ready-made nursery bedding.
